Our Rai Som project runs a volunteer programme for individuals and groups. For those who wish to spend time helping us at the project as an individual, we offer an inexpensive volunteer programme, which combines teaching, childcare and outdoor work. Accommodation is in gender-separated dorms, with basic facilities. Built in a rural setting on old rice paddies, the volunteer work is literally outside your front door! Individuals pay a living fee to cover the costs of accommodation, food, transport and other overheads.
If you would like to volunteer as a group, this is a great place to do so. You will live onsite, with dedicated staff, working on customised projects organised by our team. Groups pay a living fee per person and a project fee for the work materials and other project related expenses.
Be part of a project which is changing the lives of young migrant children, giving not just hope for the future, but the skills to succeed.

If you would like to volunteer by yourself, or do not have the funds to pay for a customised programme as a group, then please apply to our individual volunteer programme - we have set start dates, regular work schedules, and activities to keep you busy and entertained.
Work includes farming, teaching kindergarten and primary grades, and childcare activities.
Volunteering is great way to learn about the issues that ethnic minorities face in daily life, to develop yourself as a person, experience a different culture and leave your comfort zone. It's also a good way to make new friends.
If you wish to fundraise to pay for a particular project, and have a team to do the work, then group volunteering is ideal.
All you have to do is tell us your project budget (amount available for the work), how many nights you will be here, and roughly how many people are in the group... then we'll find you a suitable project to work on.
This is a great option for schools and universities especially.
