We have purchased the land and began work on the main site in April. We are utlising our volunteer groups, our individual volunteer teams, our Thai Volunteer Teacher project, and anyone else willing to pitch in with labour and materials.
There is a substantial cost attached with the construction of the buildings, as well as the day-to-day running costs such as providing school lunches and paying the teaching staff. In the future we plan to use our onsite "Farmstay" to support the school, but funding is required to cover the initial 1-2 years.
Any funding help we can get, be it monetary donations, grant funding, donations of resources and materials, as well as fundraising itself, is greatly appreciated.
Please look through the various funding requests in the list below to see if you are able and willing to help.
Thank you for your interest in donating to our school. The main overheads for the school are the cost of lunches for the students. At the time of opening, the school's monthly lunch bill stood at nearly 60,000 THB, which will rise to a minimum of 132,000 THB per month once we are running at full capacity.
If you would like to donate to help reduce this overhead, please select the donation amount from the dropdown menu and proceed with the Paypal payment process.
The amounts shown below are the approximate cost per child. For instance, donating 500 THB will cover the lunch bill for 1 child for 1 month.
Kindergarten lasts for 3 years, Primary school for 6 years, and the maximum donation is for the total number of years a child could be at the school - 9 years. This does not include the childcare centre.
If you would like to donate a different amount, or using a different method (eg bank transfer), please contact us directly so that we can advise you.
The initial two classrooms will house the kindergarten class and Primary Grade 1. Each classroom has its own bathroom facilities, a side area for the teacher's desk and a bed. The classrooms are linked by a single covered walkway in front.
School lunch is the main meal for our students. At home they often have nothing more than rice with salt to eat, so our lunches give them the most nutritious meal each day. We aim to provide a protein-rich meal that will help with physical and mental development. If feasible we are also hoping to provide food for the children to take home after school as well.
