Lunches: Aug 2018

School lunch is the main meal for our students. At home they often have nothing more than rice with salt to eat, so our lunches give them the most nutritious meal each day. We aim to provide a protein-rich meal that will help with physical and mental development. If feasible we are also hoping to provide food for the children to take home after school as well.

We budget 20 THB per child for school lunch. This is enough to give them a carton of milk and a cooked meal. For 126 students (May 2018), this amounts to 2,520 THB per day. We open the school for an average of 22 days per month, so the monthly spend is approximately 55,440 THB (roughly $1,750). This will rise to 130,000+ THB per month once we are at capacity - 330 students. Any assistance with covering this expense is very welcome.
